Ipswich High School Football Boosters
Welcome to the Ipswich High School Football Booster Program for 2009. We are the parent support group the High School football teams during both good times and the tough times. Over the years, many parents and friends have joined together and raised funds for equipment, shirts, jackets, sweatpants/shirts, hats, awards, the annual football banquet and college scholarships for seniors that apply.
Just recently, the new video system that the teams will be using during the upcoming season was purchased at the request of Varsity Head Coach Ted Flaherty, with funds raised by our members, the players, their families and the boosters. We have also purchased “look team” pads for practices and enhanced the strength and conditioning program this summer with the help of Pat Koning.
Needless to say the many tasks that are involved cannot be accomplished by only a few hands. We urge you to join the boosters since Booster efforts, directly benefit the teams. The more help that is given, the more successful we will be. Go Tigers!!

How the Boosters Need your Help
Many volunteer opportunities exist. We ask Freshman parents to work the snack shack on Friday nights during Varsity home games since your sons play on Thursday afternoons. We also would love to have Freshman parents, in fact all parents, donate baked goods that we can sell at home games. The snack shack also sells pizza, hotdogs, beverages and snacks. Many hands make for light work — we need 4-5 parents per night! There are only 5 Varsity home games during the season.
We also ask the freshman players to sell programs during these games in addition to helping set up the field as requested by the coaching staff in addition to helping to clean up the stands after the game. Players earn “points” for service that are later redeemed to reduce the cost of Junior jackets. Players also earn points for selling Gold Cards, Pancake Breakfast Tickets etc. During home games, we also ask for volunteers to run the 50/50 raffle. Many volunteer positions are posted on the Tigers home page.
